The Charming and Captivating Capitol Hill Neighborhood
If living close to downtown is your thing, but you also enjoy stunning views, Capitol Hill was made for you. This area is only a 2-minute drive to the heart of downtown, with one catch, when you’re home you don’t feel as if you live close to the city center at all. The quiet streets, green parks, and many hiking trails will make you feel as if you’ve left the city completely. Sitting right on top of the salty city, Capitol Hill is home to… you guessed it… the state capitol.
This area is a good mix between charming apartments and gated communities. It should be noted here, that if you decide to make Capitol Hill your home you simply mustn’t miss the blooming of the cherry blossom trees around the capitol. Taking a stroll through the pristine capitol walking paths will become your annual tradition.

Dining and Shopping
Although restaurants in this area are not numerous by any means, Capitol Hill is so close to downtown that it really doesn’t matter. Take a short trip down State Street and you’ll have the choices of the city to choose from.
That being said, dining at Em’s Restaurant is a must for any resident of this area.
There is a Trax station at the bottom of State Street and bus stops scattered throughout the area.
Riding a bike down Capitol Hill is often done, and very thrilling. However, don’t forget you’ll have to ride it back up too.
For those working downtown, running late will be no problem. Skip the freeway traffic and live 5 minutes from work.
The closest freeway entrance is about 7 minutes away on the 600 South overpass.
